Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig on September 21, 1983. Maggie Grace is an American actor best known for her character Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV series Lost. After her parents divorced, she relocated with her mother into Los Angeles. They were struggling to make ends meet and was offered her first part in the acting world in the film Rachel's Room's main character. The TV film Murder in Greenwich where she played 15-years-old Martha Moxley earned her the nomination for a Young Artist Award. Grace was Shannon Rutherford on the Lost television series in 2004. The show featured her as the principal protagonist for two seasons and also won a Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace left the television series in the year 2005, to take on an even more prominent role in films, having appeared alongside Tom Welling as Kim Mills in the film Taken. She starred on the screen in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club in both 2007 and Taken (2008) alongside Liam Neeson. The same character was played by Grace as Kim Mills in Taken 2 and Taken 3 (both in 2012). Grace returned to the Lost series in the final two episodes playing Shannon. In 2013, she appears in Californianation, the 6th season. She plays Faith, a groupie who is a muse for the stars and catches the eye to Hank Moody (David Duchovny). Part of the Gyllenhaal family She is the daughter of filmmakers Stephen Gyllenhaal and Naomi Achs and the older sibling of actor Jake Gyllenhaal. When she was a teenager her career began in small roles for her father. She also appeared in Donnie Darko alongside her brother. The next film she appeared in was Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind in 2002, as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003).
